portions of the web are growing in scope daily, the authority/value/reach/trust of
the static web is decreasing daily, which is a bad sign for those relying on picking at
the edges of it for scraps of authority.
If, on the other hand, you come up with creative ways to be mentioned in the
active portions of the web, your site will keep gaining authority. As the algorithms
evolve they will prop you up more and more because your link equity and other
signs of quality will clearly be in the green.
Competitors will get slaughtered by changes in the dynamics of the web that
promote those featured in the active portions of the web, many low-quality sites
replicating the moves of the low-quality sites that actually managed to rank (and
thus associating their profiles with junk parts of the web
, and improved search
relevancy algorithms.
